Disco Leopard: Milani HD & Konad m57

Hello all - it's me again!  Today's mani I have for you is "down with the funk".  I used Milani's HD holographic polish in HD for the base color & Sally Hansen chrome nail makeup Carnelian Chrome for the stamping & the design comes from Konad plate m57.  The holo-ness in the Milani shows up really great in this pic (the sun was out for about 10 seconds) but not as much as I was hoping IRL.  Oh well, I guess I'm going to have to break down & buy some of the Nfu Oh holo's!

I was definitely feeling the "jive" when I did this. lol
Have a great day readers!

  2. I saw your post on the zoya facebook page and wanted to come check it out. Your nail designs are amazing and so so pretty. I have been wanting to try the konad stamping plates and you have made my decision i HAVE to have them!! Could you give advice on the best place to buy them? that isn't gonna break the bank and maybe just one plate to start off with, which one would you recommend? thank you.

  3. @ Kerry - be my guest! ;)

@ mysweetie924 - thank you very much! I started off purchasing mine from ebay & bought them from http://stores.ebay.com/avivastampingnailart (they have free shipping). I received some as presents that were purchased from wowsocool.com. Also, a great new(ish) website is joyfulexpressions.com. I've not ordered from them yet but I definitely plan to in the future. I also have the bundlemonster plates which are a great deal for the money. I purchased them from amazon.com & I got 21 plates for $17.99. They do have their cons, though. The images aren't as detailed but that may be good depending on the look you're going for. Also, the images aren't as deep so it's sometimes difficult to get the image on the stamper perfectly. The full nail designs are smaller than the Konad so it's tricky to get it to fit on the entire nail. I think my nail plate is on the narrower side of normal so if someone has a wide nail plate then they might have more of a difficult time with getting the image to work right. Lastly, the Konad plates have a backing on them while the bm's do not so their edges are sharp & can cut you if you're not careful. For Konad brand plates, if you pay more than $6.99 then you're paying too much. There's a couple other brands that are new out there on the web that are more expensive than Konad & I haven't tried them yet. I'm dying to, though but they're in France! ;) Let me know if you need any more help!
